Ministry Overview:  Dr. David Niquette, Pastor

MINISTRY OBJECTIVES:

To build a church that thrills the heart of Jesus, that fully embraces Him as Head of the Body. To lead Christians to become fully devoted to Jesus Christ to the point that they share His heart for people. To build an authentic, attractive Christian community that witnesses effectively to the life-giving presence of the Savior. To function as a true “Kingdom Embassy” in Northern Colorado.

  • M.Div., Talbot Graduate School of Theology, 1972.  Major:  Bible Exposition
  • B.A., Biola University, La Mirada, California, 1967.  Double Major:  History and Bible

MINISTERIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Senior Pastor, Christ Center Community Church, Fort Collins, CO     1998 to Present

  • Associate, Dramatic Difference Ministries, Inc.  Independence, OR   1996 to Present

    • Itinerant ministry; Pastoral consultant.

  • Senior Pastor, Northwest Hills Community Church, Corvallis, OR     1987 to 1996

    • Two services, 950, multiple staff.

  • Senior Pastor, Village Bible Church, Garden Grove, CA     1977 to 1987

    • Developed large lay ministry team; ethnic church planting

  • Adjunct Faculty, Talbot School of Theology, Practical Theology.     1981 to 1987    

    • Homiletics, cross-cultural seminars on Bible communication

  • Pastor, Valley Bible Church, Northridge, CA    1969 to 1977    

    • Co-pastorate, Dean of Valley Christian Academy (K-9th)

TEACHING POSITION:

Firmly grounded in the inerrant Word of God, giving preeminence to the Lord Jesus Christ, I teach with conviction based on comprehensive exposition, and offer practical biblical principles and spiritual insights which lead God’s children to apply the ever-relevant truth of God to their lives in today’s changing world.  Grounded on the Word of God, dependent on the Spirit of God, I am Christ- centered in focus, grace-oriented in relationships, and non-judgmental and loving with those who differ with me.  (Broader statement of teaching position on request.)
